Diwali Special Trains 2011 from chennai

The Diwali festival is the Indian 5 days festival of lights which is widely celebrated in Hinduism, Sikhism and Jainism.Every year the diwali festival occurs during the month of October or on the month of November. This year the Diwali festival is to be celebrated on 26th October 2011, Wednesday and every year the Indian Railways announces the special trains in order to reduce the crowd in trains.The Indian Railways will be running Diwali special trains from and to major cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Salem, Tirunelveli, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and so on.There are different zones of Indian Railways like Central Railways, East Central Railways, East Coast Railways, Eastern Railways, North Central Railways, North Eastern Railways, North Western Railways, Northern Railways, South Central Railways, South East Central Railways, South Eastern Railways, South Western Railways, Southern Railways, West Central Railways which will be soon announcing the Diwali Special Trains List 2011 and the passengers can do the reservation of ticket after knowing the Diwali Special Train Names and Train Nos.

Tamil Nadu Government declares holidays for local body elections

The Tamil Nadu Local Body Election has been scheduled in two phases. The first phase of the polling areas, which are under the Corporation are is scheduled on 17th October and for the other areas on 19th October, 2011.
Orders are expected from the State Government to be announced on the day of polling as a Public Holiday for Government and Private employees under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
The paid holiday may be declared on the actual date of poll, it will be applicable only in the areas where the election/bye-election is taking place.
